The newlywed wife said to her husband when he returned from work, “I have great news for you. Pretty soon, we’re going to be three in this house instead of two.” Her husband ran to her with a smile on his face and delight in his eyes. He was glowing of happiness and kissing his wife when she said, “I’m glad that you feel this way ... tomorrow morning my mother moves in with us.”
Today is Tell an Old Joke Day, and I thought it appropriate to throw in a an old marriage joke. It's easy to get caught up in the daily grind and miss out on the lighter side of the marriage relationship. So, consider today's message a reminder for you to LAUGH and PLAY with your spouse as often as you can.
According to Proverbs 17:22, a cheerful heart is good medicine, so keep some levity in your marriage -- especially if things aren't going as well as you would like.
Although there may be some serious & difficult issues to contend with in your relationship, do your best to look for opportunities to smile, laugh, and be happy with your mate. It will do a lot for you personally, and will refresh your marriage.
Until tomorrow -
